Rewiring speakers to avoid bose

Wondering if hardwiring my speakers directly to my aftermarket deck to avoid the bose amp is a good idea/will work?

Yes it will work, you may still need a bypass for onstar/door chime.

I have the wiring harness that retains the chimes etc installed just don't want that amplifier on my speakers
