What are y'all using to clean bugs off the plastidipped bumper? Reason I ask is because cleaning my front end today I got some Tarminator on my plastidipped emblem only to have it eat through the emblem. In the process of re spraying now. stripped the whole emblem with Tarminator, ate right through it all after about 3 applications. Might have to resort to good old elbow grease and soapy water. Any suggestions

I haven't had much luck. I get plenty of bugs and most come off when I hand wash it with a sponge and soap. But I have stains that haven't came off and it doesn't look like they will. That's a downside of plasti dip unfortunately :(

This is what I do and it works decently but be careful. First I wash the truck and get it as clean as possible, then with acetone. I use paper towels but maybe a microfiber cloth will work and leave no streaks. Just damp it and clean the dip fast, the acetone will remove the stains but will soften up the dip. If you leave it in one place long enough it will eat the dip, good thing acetone evaporates so quick. Do fast moves and no swirls or else cus it revives the plasti dip you'll see the swirls. Or you can just add more dip lol

Use dip specific care products. Blou makes really good products. Wash with the dip wash, use the stain remover for bug stains, then wipe on dip mist.

The stain remove should get rid of bug stains. White dip is notorious for getting yellow spots on it. The dip mist leaves dip smooth and less rubbery feeling. It also conditions dip to make it last longer and makes it easier to wash and help prevent staining.

Don't use acetone or any other solvent unless you want to ruin your dip. Acetone has never been recommended for dip in any form or fashion. If you use any solvent on your dip it should only be xylene or naptha. Even then those are only used for thinning if you spray with a gun or to fix runs in the dip.
