05 2500hd 4x4 6.0l transfercase fluid

What goes in this thing? Ive tried calling the Stealership but unless i bring it into them they won't tell me. AutoZone and other shops can't tell me either. Their computer states GL-5. However the crap thats sitting on my driveway is red like ATF. (reason for the fluid change- Seal broke).

 

Any suggestions? Want to tackle this thing tomorrow.

Dexron 3 ATF. Couple choices. Local GM dealers will have Manual Transmission and Transfer Case Fluid (says this right on the bottle), which is basically Dexron 3, or you can head down to your local parts store and grab some Mercon/Dexron 3. Don't run Dexron 6 as it is not compatible with pre-2007 transfer cases.

As stated above, manual transmission fluid is correct. Don't get gm autotrac fluid for it, my dealer sold me the wrong stuff.
