Adjusting Headlights after a Leveling Kit

Just wondering if anyone adjusted their headlights after a 2" leveling kit. I dont know if im even needing to or not.

Mine was about 3 turns but they were a little high to begin with.

1.5 level for me. Left them as is. They were too low to start with. Finally where they should be.

Ive been getting flashed by people lately. Ill try turning them down a turn and see what happens.

I leveled a used Tundra that I bought some years ago and also replaced the headlamps. In both situations, I used the same procedure that Fondupot shows in his How To Video in post 4 of this thread...

It's quick, easy and there's no need to guess. BY THE WAY, you might be surprised how much off the factory settings are. My 2011 Silverado had the passenger side a lot lower than the driver side. Easy check and / or fix.

Put a 2.5 on mine, haven't adjusted them and don't get flashed but very rarely.

Got flashed a few times, will probably turn it down 2-3 turns

 

On my last truck I marked the head lights on the wall, then I pulled back into my spot and re-aimed them (took about 3 turns) back to where they were before.

Yep I did. I put my Bilsteins on the 3rd setting (out of 4) which is about 1.25" level. i kept getting flashed by other drivers when driving at night. So I lowered them down a bit. I will also say, I can see 10x better after aiming them correct.

I adjusted mine down, was only flashed once, but most of my driving was day time driving since the install.

After installing my Bilsteins my headlights were too high. I noticed right away when I would be 10-20' away from cars and my headlights would point right into their interior, I did get flashed a few times. I turned them down myself but now they are too low. Luckily I'm due for an oil change this week, I'll just have the dealer reset them for me.

2.5" level, did not adjust and never been flashed in past few weeks

I installed a Ready Lift 2" Level kit..... No adjustment required !!!

It's something to consider. 1-1/2 spacer did raise the beam of light to a longer distance in coverage; however, I did not get flashed...that is, luntil I was towing my musclecar and trailer. Then, yes. The signal flashing was often.
