I found this site looking for some snow plowing info. Just bought a 1987 Chevy V30 flat bed with a 8' power angle plow. Don't even have plates on it yet.

Thanks for the welcomes...so far I've only found a dirty air filter. The cap/rotor and plugs are all in good shape. Someone put 7mm ignition wires on the engine, they don't need to be replaced yet but I'll put a set of 8mm wires on when they die. I need to change all the oils and open the front hubs to be sure they are well greased. Then I need to figure out how to switch between the two fuel tanks. Plenty to do...

My dad's family used to have one almost identical to this but without a plow, as far as I know she was excellent farm truck.

This one will be doing all the water hauling and road clearing for my property. It's more ranching than farming, we do have a small apple orchard started, but it's focused on cattle propagation and we're building a bakery for my wife. WY just passed a law allowing us to sell retail right off of the property because of the agricultural zoning.

 

I still need to get to town to get plates for it, but I want to sell off my '89 GMC K1500 first.
