Charging different price than advertised on website

You can move/delete this if doesn't belong here. Local dealer has a double cab listed, pictured with different wheels, toneau cover, mud flaps and running boards. Website had it advertised at a great price, went to look at it and they said the website was wrong, didn't include extas, etc. Now they have changed the price on the website, they have offered a lower price than advertised but still over $3k over the original price on the site. Any opions on what a fair price for this truck would be with the extras on it?

Also, if i enter the VIN in carfax it says this truck has "6 records", what does this mean (don't want/shouldn't need to pay for carfax for new car?)

Local dealers has them listed between 6-7k off sticker. When you add in the difference in cost for the wheels, tonneau cover, and steps, I'd still say you could offer them about 2k less than they're advertising it for.

They are offering about $5k less than sale price, going to see what they will give me for my truck and go from there.

holy crap thats a lot of scratch for that truck.

Here is an LTZ CCSB that is advertised for a lot less. This one is even done with the color matched front end.

If 4WD is what you need here is another truck under that price with far more options.

Agree it's too much. It's been a big ordeal since the first time I seen it on the website. It was advertised for $34.6k, went to look at it and they told me no way it was advertised for that. I had printed it out and showed them and they said it was a mistake and new price was over $40k and didn't include wheels etc...I walked out, dealership called back and asked me to go talk to a different salesperson at another location and he was trying to sell me some other trucks, etc. Said no, now they come back to this truck and said for $37.8k as it sits with the accessories. I'm going to see what they will give me for my truck, if they get me near what I want for it and then go to $34k I will most likely do it otherwise I'll wait. Don't really need the truck, mine only has 67,000 miles on so good for a while.

Bergstrom is an honest dealer. I have done business with them many times. You can be certain this was an honest error.

Now that being said, they are also willing to negotiate just like any other dealer. Try asking for more dealer services (oil changes, discounts on other accessories, etc.) instead of a lower price and maybe that will help you out.

Good luck.
