2014 Chevy 1500 LTZ 4x4. Level Kit = Bouncy?

Just picked up the above. Has a leveling kit and and 33x12.50x20's. Has black shocks in the back and appears the ranchos in the back. Way too bouncy. Is this normal? Read some other threads said they shocks were crap. Should it have two different kinds? Both appear stock equipment. Thanks in advance.

I have a '14 SLT crew cab short bed 4x4 with the black in the rear. I also have a 2.5 front level I think it rides like a caddy. I also hade a '96 silerado before this NEW truck so to me it's heaven.

They should all be black or all be white ranchos. If not then someone swapped them out. Its probably bouncy because they damping in the front differers from the rear, causing a rocking motion.

Exactly.

Rancho's are white and red. The others would be all black.

What tires? I bet that's what's making it bouncy, leveling kit didn't really change my ride much. And the Ranchos ride stiff.

33x12.50x20's. Had 40psi in all 4. Definitely has different shocks in the front compared to the back.

So you think its a combo of tires and shocks? With a leveling kit, would you need the Bilstein 5100's or could you still run the 4600's?

Took it to a shop today. Guy wants to put new ranchos on the back. The front are black. Shouldnt he replace all 4???

Don't take this the wrong way but do yourself a huge favor and buy the Bilstein shocks and be done with it, night and day difference, the "Rancho" shocks that come on these trucks are pure junk!

With the level kit do i need the 5100's or just stick with the 4600's?

5100's

I hate spending someone else's money and I know the truth hurts sometimes and no one wants to admit something sucks on something they just spent 50k on but it is what it is.

No worries here my friend. I dont mind spending a little extra to get a smooth ride. Thanks for your help.
