Exhaust done Line-X in

local shop did an excellent job on the Line-X.

 

Used a 12388 Magnaflow on the exhaust. 2, 2-1/4-inch tailpipes, and replaced the 2-3/4-inch connector with 3-inch from the flex. All 409. Sounds great. Will be shutting off the DOD, or AFM tomorrow with my Diablo. Almost bought the Hypertech because of its ability to set when the AFM comes on. Turns out it only works with the flex motor?

 

Da' flapper is gone.

I assume you mean the resonation in 4cyl. mode? Because this muffler does not resonate on a 5.3L motor. Also, how did you run a single 3-inch system, with a muffler that has a dual outlet? The 12388 has a single 3-inch inlet, and a dual 2 1/2-inch outlet.

My bad, I did the 12259. Single 3" in, single 3" out. I have the 6.2.

Ahhh, I got ya. All the Magnaflow 5 x 8 inch case mufflers, 18 - 24 inches are great options for the 5.3 and 6.2L motors.

Agreed. $280 custom catback welded in. Can't beat it. I'm going to record some sound for fun a little later today.

I have been in the custom exhaust industry for 38 years, and am not familiar with that term.

 

Edit: ok, the penny just dropped, did you think that I Line-x'ed the exhaust? No, just the bed.
