$1500 Private Offer Tips

I hope not, but I have been on there most of July looking for the PO's. I have been able to get 3 Chevy ones but zero GMC ones. I'm guessing there is no equivalent "trick" of going to Camara Build & Price like it was with Chevy that got me one fairly easily.

My ratio of getting Chevy PO's compared to GMC PO's to help out board members here is easily 4:1 this year in favor of Chevy. GMC seems to be tougher to get. At least when I have been trying for them. I have had people offering $100 for a GMC and all I was able to get to pop up in May or June was Chevy.

Gotcha. Yeah, going through my email since I've been researching these for 2+ years and finally taking the plunge this Saturday, the only GMC private offer I've gotten was back on Feb 10, 2016.

I'd be glad to offer you $100 over PayPal if you or anyone else could grab a GMC one for me by Friday night since I'm flying out to Laura Saturday at 6am. The dealer here was $6k away and didn't even want to make an offer.

If anyone gets lucky and comes across a PO between now and Friday I could certainly use one. That is of course if you are willing and can't use it yourself.

Thanks

I am currently in Iraq but will be home in 9 days. I have been trying to get a PO using my Florida ZIP when researching but wonder if the fact that my IP is showing Iraq if that is keeping it from popping up for me.

Any assistance would be great. My dealership has been great by letting me put a deposit down on a truck that I want but I need every bit of help I can get to try to get the best deal/price that I can.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

My ZIP is 34753 and I will put a $100 bounty out on this PO if someone can get one.

What Brand?

GM or Chevy-

Looking at your signature and profile I am guessing GMC.

OK - Been trying in different citys and spoofed IP's. No luck so far.

I appreciate the assist.

I have tried vpn's and using different zip's but nothing pops up for me. Not even a request for a quote like others have said.

Well been trying 2 different computers and 3 different browsers and still no luck on the GMC PO. Cleared cookies, used private modes and VPN's and still no luck.

I am supposed to go to the dealership on the 24th to try and finalize the deal.

Keep trying, I got one yesterday morning using chrome, incognito. I plan on using it or I would give it to you. I was on Chevrolet.com building a truck.

Well all the previous posts about GMC not popping as much as Chevy seems to still hold true. I am still trying and doing every trick people have used before but still no joy. Keeping my fingers crossed though. If anyone comes across one that they don't need, I would gladly take it and pay a bounty on it. My number for information is 352-410-9223 and that works here in Iraq (better than my GMC PO chances, lol).

Only 8 more days til I am back stateside and working on my truck deal.

Request a quote and site surveys are all I get to pop up. This is frustrating. I am down to 6 days before I will be at the dealership. This is getting frustrating.

I have been trying for a GMC private offer and like others have been unable to get one this month

    • Although there is a "recommended" weight by those who sell trailers, my experience has been that they are way too aggressive in their information, for me at least. My '22 with 6.6 Gas, has a payload of about 3400 lbs and depending on your specs (I don't have 4WD so it has a bit higher Payload than others) yours will likely be different. Payload is one of the most important numbers for towing. Although you "could" tow the max trailer weight for your truck, I, personally, would not go close to that number. Having said that, a lot depends on how/where you will be towing. I live in the LMD of BC and often tow to Denver, Co, along interstates (flat and mountains) and I find I need to keep it in 5th (6spd) for the trip and travel at around 65mph. This is for a trailer dry weight of just under 3500lbs. If you are only doing local, short trips, it would not be that big an issue if you had a heavier unit. You will be surprised how much stuff you load the trailer with, so I would only recognize the trailers "full" GVWR weight rating, then decide on the appropriate trailer from that number. If you are worrying about how much stuff you should be putting in a trailer, you might have too large a rig from the get-go. Once again, depending on what terrain/distance in which you will be pulling. Marv
    • davester, Thanks for the response, how ever, I think I am now a bit more confused than I was before I posted - - After I posted, I actually found a YT video of a guy who replaced his Module (above tire) and he only disconnected the ground cable of the battery, but you describe rubbing the two cables together after disconnecting. I presume that is to do as you describe and eliminate any residual energy? - When I picked up the Module (between my posting and reading your response) from the dealer, I specifically asked about any re-programming and he stated it was not necessary as it was simply plug and play. Don't know how knowledgeable he is, though. - The video I watched also showed the Module plug to be difficult to "unlock" and remove, but there was no mention of silicone, although the video did show a bunch of dust/dirt in and around the plug (old truck) during removal. Are you talking about silicone that was applied by the factory, or silicone that you applied prior to plugging in? Thanks again, Marv
