How much of a lift to fit 22x10 and 35's?

Hey yall....I want to put some 22x10 or 22x12 with 35 tires on my 10' Sierra 1500...can I get away with a 6" lift or would it be better to go with the Mcgaughy 7-9" lift? Im ok with a little trimming but dont want to cut it up too much and dont want to rub. Any suggestions? Post pics if you got em, thanks
