Overhead Console Ambient Led Light Size

So, I'm in the process of replacing all my interior bulbs to match my blue foot well lights, and I came across this little light...

 

 

It's the ambient light that is located here

 

 

I tried finding out what size the light is, but unfortunately I'm coming up empty...any ideas guys? I know this may seem dumb or too much trouble for such a little light lol but I'm determined.

I think they are 31mm...but don't quote me on that, I haven't taken the whole console apart yet to find out...I will take it apart and confirm this evening.

Also a thought i just had. IF you remove the black insert or make it a hair larger you could put some bigger LEDs in there and possibly even wire it up so that it would be dimmer when the dome lights are off and brighter when they are on. That way its an accent light most of the time but also helpful at other times

I'm like 60% sure they are probably sorder into each mother board. Not like before where you can pull the bulb out and pop a new led

What's funny is I thought that light was analog because it has a yellow cast.

You can just try soldering in a different LED into that spot on the board.

Else just tuck a piece of colored gel in front of it.

So I got it to work guys! Ordered the light from here http://www.oznium.com/prewired-leds. I ordered the 3mm.

 

 

yes, the wires for the dome lights are soldered on to a mother board and the cover is attached to the light...

So you were able to remove the cover for the rear LEDs? How did you do so?

It comes off pretty easy, just pry around it and the whole piece falls right off.

So are u saying you rewired ur NEW led (blue) to the circuit board?..that's wat I want to do but not sure on to go about it... I've been trying to find new circuit board LEDs already in blue
