FYI... There is now a service bulletin/repair procedure for diagnosing and resolving the Stabilitrak/Power failure issue. It is # PIT5405A. The dealer had my truck for almost two weeks and worked extensively with the GM Technical Assistance Center (TAC) to troubleshoot the issue. They were finally able to come up with a procedure to diagnose the issue. This also allows them to confirm when the issue has been resolved.

I spent about 30 minutes talking with the dealership after everything was fixed. This issue is caused by a voltage drop in the electrical system. They can re-create it by applying voltage to specific points in the system. Once everything was corrected on my truck, they could no longer create this voltage drop, so I feel "fairly confident" that the issue has actually been addressed.

The notes on my service ticket were very extensive and they gave me the GM TAC ticket number as well so that I would have it for my records. I also got a print out of all of the vehicle logs for my records. I don't think they would have been as open with all of the information if they weren't confident that they had resolved the issue.

Thanks you for the update! I honestly don't know why the dealership could not trouble shoot the issue. Literally they had my truck for 6 hours after I had to wait a week to even get the truck in as they had no loaner cars which is fine, just for them to call me and say we can't find the issue and the best we can do is continue to search until tomorrow. If nothing is found by then I would have to pay labor rates to solve the issue as they just don't throw money at vehicle's without knowing the problem.

Well after talking to another 2 dealerships unless they can duplicate the problem the bulletin will not be done regardless of what the DTC report says.

Also GM is stepping up and extending my warranty free of charge. With that being said to those out their thinking of purchasing a new GM truck don't take my experience and make your decision off it. Their are TONS of happy customers driving these trucks, fact of the matter is with vehicles being computer controlled things are going to fail. Unfortunately I had one that failed. It's not that I was mad it failed, I was mad it took so long for action to be taken. So, put all the B.S aside I love the truck. Theirs a few small things I'm not happy with but it personal preference type things. The truck runs great and drives great and have had no other issues.

My truck has been in the shop (3rd time for this issue) for about a week with similar conditions. Starting issues, dimming lights, losing power, wheel whipping out of my hands in reverse. Told the dealer about this today and gave hime the code and he said it didn't apply to my 2014 Slt All Terrain. However I'm not so convinced.

My dealer called and said that my positive cable was showing over 200mA of resistance instead of the "usual 20 or so" Does that sound possible to anyone on here with good knowledge? I am just a simple man

PM'ed you twice and no response, thanks for the help GM. I see your customer service and "precision engineering" are both facetious claims

I just got mine back from the dealership for the same issue. Try this link below. You can access the ground by popping off the a-pillar cover. See if the plastic piece is under the nut on the ground terminal. Mine was. They also replaced both battery cables and the terminal block. I've had it back for a week now and so far it seems to be fixed.
