I'm waiting for it to come out on HBO, but my boss took off early last night to see it. His wife got tickets for part of his Christmas.

It was really good, I'm going to see it again soon.

Me too! Went opening night last minute and then saw it again the next night with some buddies from work. Then found out I'm seeing it again my girlfriends family this Saturday. I'm surprised more people haven't responded to this thread.

You have GOT to see it in Imax 3D. Waaayyy better than regular 3D or 2D. Usually I hate 3D due to the fact that I wear glasses but this was the best 3D I have ever been to. As for the movie itself, I was a little skeptical about the new cast at first but warmed up to them pretty fast. I would give it a 5/5 in Imax 3D, but the other versions just don't pull you into the story quite as much.

Unfortunately for me I do not have any real Imax theaters. All the ones by are just the slightly larger screens no domed screens. I've hear its awesome though!

Yeah, thats what I saw it on. Not the giant screen, just the larger one with DTS or whatever sound it is they use. Normally I don't like the regular 3D cause its too dark but Imax 3D was awesome. Currently looking for someone else that wants to see it so I will have another reason to see it again. haha If you can don't miss seeing it in the theater. Im wondering if they will release it in 4k blu ray? Ive got a new 65 inch curved 4K tv just waiting on it.

Oh ok, when I went opening night I saw it in 3D as well. We arrived when the movie started so we got stuck in the front row. I remember at one point the Star Destroyer was almost poking my eye out! That looks like a very nice TV. I got really lucky and purchased a top of the line Samsung 55" 4K TV (UN55F9000) for $2k two years ago. At the time the TV was in stores for $5500. I'm just waiting on the new evolution kit for 2016 and HDR Blu Ray players to be released. On that note I'm sure Star Wars will be released on HDR Blu Ray. Disney isn't a bunch of morons like George Lucas. I remeber he fought tooth and nail to not have Star Wars released on DVD for the longest time.

i saw on opening night. i am a huge star wars fan. I loved this new one. I think JJ Abrahms did a fantastic job of giving the movie a classic star wars feel, with a modern twist.
