Front end jack placement

Any tips on where to place the jack on the front end of a 2015 Z71?

 

The Chevy trucks I've had in the past I've been able to place a 2x4 and lift on the front cross member, lifting the whole front end. This one doesn't seem to have a flat front member suitable for this. Skid plate doesn't seem to help either.

I don't remember were but I know it is in the owners manual...

I dont really remember where i jacked my up from but usually i jack it up where the a-arms connect to the mounts. however, you can also just jack it up from the frame under the front doors.

So jacking up the whole front end at once isn't an option anymore?

I use frame and do each side

The cross member still works, doesn't have to be flat it won't roll off. Can take off the skid plate or jack on that plastic part under the cross member, it crushes it a little but it is a part that isn't protecting anything (it is the cross member, doesn't need any protection).

I use the cross member in front of the oil pan. If your jack handle is long enough no problem
