Cooper A/T W Tires

I recently bit the bullet and grabbed a set of 275/55/20 XL Cooper A/T W tires for my 2014 GMC Seirra. So far I am liking them.

They do not sell the LT in stock size, they do sell them in LT275/65/20 which I hear can cause rubbing. But I think the LT is a tad over kill for a 1/2 ton anyhow and the XL will be fine. 117T load and speed rating.

I did a ton of research and it came down to price, winter/summer performance, also the availability being in my size (20" stock and not wanting to do any mods) all based off of limited reviews online. I had a hard time finding an actual review from a consumer except for a few quick reviews on forums such as this one so I will keep this post updated as time goes on.

Canadian tire had them on sale for $195CDN per tire (which is a deal believe it or not, $260 regular for this size). Installed out the door with warranty for $1025 CDN. I had them filled to 50psi (320 kpa) in the warm shop. It is -10 C (14 F) today in Calgary Alberta and they are around 40ish psi (295 kpa) now. They slowly return to full psi as they are driven.

So far I have hit dry pavement and they have been reasonably quiet. Also tried hard packed snow which they handled great in 2WD. Tried to spin the rear end out but could not. Very impressed with that.

I am waiting on a big snow storm to really try them out in some fresh deep snow.

I took some pictures but they are too big to upload, so if you know how to fix that problem let me know lol

I had the A/T 3 on my older truck which was a Colorado. I loved them for everything except snow. So this A/T W tire here with the severe snow rating seems perfect for what I need and will actually use out of a tire.
