HELP: Coilover with UCA lift recommendation

I have a 2015 GMC Sierra 1500 4X4 CCSB with the max trailering package. It does not have Z71 and has the steel control arms. I'd like to add a coilover shock (ICON/King/Fox) with improved UCA (Total Chaos/Cognito/ICON) to gain a mild lift and increase the suspension performance. For those of you who have installed one of this kits, what kind of lift are you realizing and what's the largest tire that will fit on the factory 20 inch wheel? I've called and or emailed ICON Vehicle Dynamics, Cognito Motorsports, Baja kits, Mazzulla, Ready lift, Camburg Engineering, SDHQ, DownSouth Motorsports, and Fabtech and got conflicting answers. Some say OEM wheel will work up to 33" tire, others recommend an aftermarket wheel, and Fabtech said OEM wheel wont work. Not sure who they are selling to because no one I contacted could definitely say oh yeah, with king coil overs and a total chaos UCA you can run up to a 305/55r20 tire on your factory wheel. I've considered the baja kits chase truck kit and mazzulla performance kit and Ready lift's 4 inch lift (can use OEM wheel and doesn't increase front wheel track) but I do not want to put anything Rough Country on my truck. I have Cognito UCA's. They're badass, great quality.

kings and camburg uca. the biggest tire you will fit without major trimming is a 33. and yes it will rub slightly when in reverse

I have been debating doing this to my truck for awhile now. I think Full Throttle Suspension has a kit out now too. Dont know if you didnt want to contact them, or didnt know about them. But some guys I have seen online are running there kit and say its a better ride than the Cognito kit.

I was aware of FTS, but I thought they only made 7-12 inch lift kits. Their Part #38113 is exactly what I'm looking for. Thanks for the info. I'll check with them on running stock wheel. They must be the only company making a leveling kit using increased travel UCA, coil over shocks, and diff spacers rather than just stock shock spacers. Can you share some pics of those running this kit? Thanks.

If you don't want to go 4" you could just do fox coilovers and an Icon or Camburg uniball UCA which will give you more travel, about 2" of lift, and clearance for a 33" tire.

 

You could also give Radflow the specs of the fox extended travel shocks and see if they have an option that will work.

I have Cognito UCA's. They're badass, great quality.

 

I have the Cognito UCAs also along with the bilstein 5100s as I only wanted to level the truck at this time - rides better and smoother than stock. When it comes time to lift, I feel the best you will get for your money is the Cognito lift or the Bajakit using either Fox or King coilovers.

But with that 4" lift you get pretty much a completely new suspension setup and get (from what I've heard about the kit) a much better than stock ride quality. Plus the ability to run larger tires with negative offset. (With minimal trimming/modification)

I find its interesting no one uses diff drop spacers. When I had my tundra with a 2-2.5" level kit everyone was using the diff drop. Would it also be better if we're used them and does anyone make them for our trucks?

 

I'm thinking of ditching my lower strut spacer lift and going to billy 5100's and possibly Camburg UCA's but have larger tires on stock wheels. Camburg says they'll rub on their arms. Thinking maybe a .25" spacer would just barely give me the clearance.

Here are some pictures of a guy running the 4" kit on a Denali HD (Owner is on Instagram as @Camdazzle I have read most of his posts (not creepy at all) and from what I have gathered, to run the BIG negative offset wheels he needed to space the front bumper and do some minor trimming.

Also, Part # 38113 is for 07-13 MY trucks. Part # 38112 is for 14-15 MY trucks and does not come with coil-overs, but that allows you to choose which ones you want to go with. I would probably go with Kings.
