CB Antenna location

Looking to install a CB in my 2015 GMC Sierra, and having an issue as to where to mount the Antenna. I have a Firestik Antenna that I had mounted in the front Stake Pocket on my 2013 Silverado, just to give you an idea of what I'm working with. The front Stake Pockets on my Sierra are capped, and don't want the Antenna mounted to the rear of the bed as it would get in the way when loading / unloading. I remember seeing a mount that would go under the Cowl, and have the CB Antenna stick out thru....this is what I'd like to do, but can't find the mount. I was also looking at the Fender Mount, but it looks too "commercial" IMO. Any ideas ???..I did try a Magnetic Mount, but it kept blowing off above 70-75 mph....the truck is a lease, so I need to be careful what I do here.

Since the thread got bumped, I'll throw in my opinion here for future searches. If you're at all concerned about the actual performance of the radio, get a magnetic mount for the roof, even if that means ditching your existing antenna and buying something new that is more suited for that purpose. If you don't care at all about transmit/receive range, then just put together whatever best suits your needs aesthetically. A good quality mag-mount antenna in the center of the roof will beat anything else that you can put together.

Did the magnet mount before, hated it. Having to remove it to go into parking garages, remove it after it rains/snows to dry off under/around it, scratching the paint from putting it on and taking it off, and some guys have had it rust between them, because they didn't dry it or remove it and let it dry.

I'm not too worried about range, especially when I'm pushing 300W and I can easily upgrade to my 102" whip for the trips out to the middle of nowhere.

300 watts through a fiberglass antenna...how's the SWR with the amp on at that location?

I've ran all sorts of setup, what the OP is looking for will be a compromise since no magnet and no holes in the roof. The stake pockets and fender mounts suck because you have a poor counterpoise. Through-glass suck because they have almost zero receive.

My suggestion is the tallest antenna you can mount to the front bulkhead of the bed...you can use half of a mirror-mount for the base, would be four self drilling screws or four 1/4" bolts. The more you get over the cab, the better the performance will be...I ran a 102 whip there with good results, I'm sure you could run a shorter top-loaded antenna with acceptable results.

I run an older Wilson 5000 drilled in the center of the roof with a 1:1 SWR and 100 watt PEP radio. I ran the 102 on the last truck with a 1:1.5 SWR and pushed about 850 watts PEP through it.
