Rust on the front bumper

Just washed my truck and noticed that there is rust starting in the lower left corner of the passenger side fog light. My truck is a year old with 8500 miles on it. The 2000 that I traded in had 95000 miles and not a speck of rust on the bumper, the rest of the truck yes but not the bumper. Is this worth bringing up to the dealer or is this "normal"?

There is nothing normal about a 1 year old truck rusting anywhere on painted or chromed parts.

I tried taking a picture but it is too hard to see. Most of the orange wiped off the surface but there are a couple of spots still. I will get pictures when it comes back.

Use some Meguiars cleaner wax on it. If it's surface rust, it should come right off, and never come back.

hoping mine does this so they paint the god dam thing, either way it needs to be repainted, waxed the whole truck, except the front bumper

Well, it looks like these bumpers are made to stay rust free until you bring the truck home from the dealership.

Mine has a rust spot where it looks like a rock chip formed. I bought some turtle wax chrome polish hoping it would fix it, but the bare metal is exposed where the chrome chipped off. Dealer told me its not covered under warranty.
