K & N air filter

Anyone throw one of these in the trucks? Any noticeable MPG gains? I'm debating spending the $50 to grab one, but unsure if it's even worth it.

Save your money. Not worth it in my opinion. Better to just keep a fresh AC/Delco filter in there.

I use them always instead of replacing the paper filter. I put 200 k miles on a K & N in my 93, do the math throwing away and replacing a paper one.

Put one in 2012 second day I had it.

I think they are awesome and worth every penny like he said^ or you could just keep buying those restricted paper filters. I also think you can tell a difference especially if you mod your stock air box

Not really worth it. Wait until your stock filter is due for change, if you want to get the K&N then do it.

Don't waste your money on a BS K&N... save the money and use an A/C Delco when replacement is needed.

I bought it for the easy of cleaning it myself and keeping dealer maintenance to a minimum. Didn't notice any gains but I also added a blower so i'm sure it helps out

K&N's def. breathe better than OEM, they also flow way more dirt. They are great for performance, but suck as a filter. The tests and research is out there, there are many better options. If you want more performance & money to burn find a quality dryflow filter. OEM/Delco are great as a filter, they don't breathe the best, but as far as filtering quality they are very effective. AEM makes a great synthetic dry filter.
