Bowtieguy1500 Posted January 27, 2016 Posted January 27, 2016 Hey guys been using this forum for quite some time now and finally became a member. This is my second GM truck and I just bought in November a 2015 1500 ltz fully loaded. I love the truck but I've had a few issues that I hope you guys can have some Input on. First off the headlights with projectors are absolute garbage and I had to put in HIDs after almost dying everytime I drove at night. On top of the headlights fogging up anytime there's any water around it. I'll post my mod in a diff section
Mervkirwin Posted January 28, 2016 Posted January 28, 2016 Hello, I own a 2014 GMC Sierra and yes the headlights are crap. There is lawsuit in the US, not yet in Canada. My dealership brought my truck in to service, they claim it a update, anyway they boost your ECM and a new set of bulbs. A big difference but still doesn't make me happy. I have ordered LED lights for my truck. I'm hoping they will work great. See your dealership and ask what they are going to do for you. Be safe
Bowtieguy1500 Posted January 28, 2016 Author Posted January 28, 2016 thanks for the info, i didn't know there was a lawsuit about it! i saw the dealer and they said they will replace the assembly for me but who cares bc its just going to end up being a pile of crap. they have a bulletin and even admit the issue yet still replace it with the same awful light. i just want them to put in the tahoe light assemblies into mine ad just call it a day. lets see if that happens...
Mervkirwin Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 Well I hope the make it right, everyone that has the 2014-2015 hare there lights. If you don't mind let me know what they do for you. If they put good set of headlights let us know. Thanks a lot, nice looking kind my truck.
Bowtieguy1500 Posted January 30, 2016 Author Posted January 30, 2016 they put in a new assembly yesterday and i shit you not the replacement actually looks worse than the one i had as far as being totally fogged up. i have set up a meeting with a field engineer and supervisor from GM on next thursday so I'm going to bring it up to them and see what they will do
