I didn't pay retail so I'm uncertain how much they actually sell for. However, you do want to make sure that you get the right one.

5080523 is for the non-LED version Sierra (SLE, and base)

5080851 is for the LED version Sierra (Denali, SLT, and all terrain)

Just pick which number is for your truck and put it into google for pricing. Whatever the lowest price you find, copy the link and send it to AutoAnything on live chat; they'll beat the lowest advertised price every time. I do not work for them or any auto part retailer, just sharing my experience.

Josh

Auto anything does not have those part numbers matching, do you know which one of their part numbers you ordered? And if your truck is SLE or SLT?

I put these in my 14 All Terrain SLT with DLR today. Need to aim them properly but I thought they were better than factory. I got them new on eBay for 333 with free shipping, much better than the $1,000 the dealer wanted to replace my busted passenger headlight. There was no brand name listed on eBay but as I was inspecting them on arrival they are stamped spyder on the light housing. I might upgrade the lights down the road but for the first day they were fine.

I'll get them when the shutters fail on my OEM headlamp assemblies. Its only a matter of time; remember "pop-up" headlights?

Did the packaging indicate either of these two numbers anywhere on it?

Honestly not sure, they were in a box with custom padding. No real instructions or anything. I'll double check later. Here is where I bought them

How did you accomplish aiming them? I just put on a set and they are way out of whack. Please help.

Thanks

i have these as well as matching taillights. they are great qualitY.

I run the SLT version in my SLE. as there are 2 one for factory led drl and one without. The base version the LED only light up with running lights. The V2 the bottom led is drl and top comes on with running lights. You can use the gen5diy harness to get the V2 working w/o factory leds. check my build for more info.

I swapped the projector and low beam to an LED bulbs and the output is fantastic.

you can aim them with a philips screwdriver there is a silver 'dial'.

Did you change out the projector housing? Or did you just sway out the H1 bulb for the low beam in the projector housing?

If so what projector and what was involved in that swap? Did it change your bulb spec from H1 to something different?

Also, did you get the version of the spyder headlight for trucks that included factory LED DRL's or did this harness work for the spyder version for trucks that did not come with DRL aka the SLE trucks?

Thanks for your help.

Yes the projector was changed. It was done by the company I bought them from and is still an H1.

Yes, the headlights are intended for factory LED DRL and has a 7 pin connector. Mine in an SLE and does not have factory led so the factory harness only has 5 Pins. The Gen5DIY harness added the extra 2+ pins (one for bottom led and one for top). The Spyder lights for factory LED DRL will have V2 in the name/part#. The headlights now function like a stock SLT bottom for DRL and top comes on with running lights.

    • Without knowing how bad your banging is, one suggestion is the intermediate steering shaft on the steering wheel. These used to be a problem on 800 and earlier series. The feeling/sound was sometimes described as "clunking" and was felt in the wheel. Also there is a plastic piece in the lower column that is referred to as a bearing. Not your traditional looking bearing though. Your ball joints, bushings and tie rods or steering rack (if equipped) are the main point of issues. You never mention total unit miles, only that you've put 60k on it.   You can search the site for help on the ISS description. Plenty of these have been replaced   https://duckduckgo.com/?t=ffab&q=site%3Agm-trucks.com+intermediate+steering+shaft&ia=web
    • Yes I have is set with the 1mm disk (Minumim Tension), for spring spacing and I raised my truck in the rear 1.5". You can go 2mm  and I think 3mm if you need.Minimum. We are on our way to TN from GA.. My wife is driving and stated she cannot believe  and   stated she can not belive the difference.
    • Most 1 ton trucks come with the factory overload spring, which need to be removed for installation of RoadActive Suspension. Removing the overload allows proper fitment and ensures the system works as intended. The RAS® Mega-Duty kit will reduce squat and provide significant improvement vs the factory overload spring.
    • I wonder as well, why they would send me a text message with links to these suggested procedures totalling over $10,000 without even the slightest hint of how they arrived at these being necessary.
    • https://precisionlubrication.com/articles/oil-filter-efficiency/     For them it is a problem of $$$$ and compliance. To cover both they have to lie from the heart.    Government wants low waste oil numbers so the bar needs to be very low on contamination to met that requirement.  Consumer wants cheap maintenance (perceived cost). Again requiring a low bar.  OEM wants high margins at a cost effective warranty rate and lots of repeat customers. More low bar.  Filter manufacture wants the same thing the OEM wants. See the pattern?   Consumers are fickle and also want perfection requiring a HIGH bar. Inconsistent with all of the above. Consumers can be, when the put their minds to it, inquisitive, love winning arguments which requires some useful information to be available to support them. And this is where it gets sticky and the lies begin.    Information needs a solid well grounded point of reference if we are to compare in a useful way. There is a standard for this.  ISO 4548-12. This standard sets the particle size at a specific Beta ratio and darn few are faithful to its intent.    If they don't state the test method they change the particle size or the Beta ratio to hit a perceived favorable standard. They obscure the information in a way as to prevent direct comparisons leaving the consumer with one method. UOA's with an ISO 4406 test result. Pricey and not allot of labs willing to do the work. Lobby work happens everywhere, not just at the seat of government.
