DRL RGB diode dynamic
Front bumper SCA G2 high clearance bumper
Led light bars : Totron 30 inch in the grille Totron 20 inch in the bumper
wheels Fuel Nutz 20 inches
Tires Toyo Open Country A/T (very good tire for performance and looks) looks like a mud tire without the roar of a mud tire!

Rigid Fog lights are ordered but havent been shipped yet that was 30 days ago. So will have those added to the bumper once they come in!

Truck is looking great man! Glad to see the build thread, can't wait to see what's next! [emoji41]

Any other plans?

Had a question on how I painted my headlights in a different post. |

I cut them open, then to color match the grille shell and inside the headlights I used plasti dip white and then bought plasti dip pearlizer and laid coats of it on till it matched about 97% of the OEM white diamond look. Its not far off the real color. RGBW light boards replaced the stock DRL boards and has a color wheel remote with unlimited colors, color blends, and light shows.

to cut the plastic I used these metal wheel blades. Regular cutting wheel melts the plastic and is kinda a pain in the ass and donesnt make for easy clean up / clean cuts.

Totron Light bars:

they are cheap but they are very durable. I personally think they are just as good as the Rigid Industries light bars. Ill be damned if i spent 600 dollars on a 20in light bar. I think i paid like 140 for the 30 inch and right at 120 for the 20 inch. for my two light bars. and they havent yellowed or cracked or anything in the little over a year that I have had them. I also dont clean my truck or lights religiously I like a clean truck but the older I get the less I tend to want to detail the hell out of it! I cant just do a wash and vac I start off that way but before you know it I done cleaned every crack and crevices on the truck.

G2 bumper.

they say on the webpage they are strictly designed for rigid industries light bars and foglights. I was like I dont really see how they could differ so im gonna throw my 100 dollar bad to the bone totron on rather than pay 600! So I did that, Well turns out the Totron is actually a true 20 inch light bar but the housing make it about 21 and quarter total length. So based on the measurements I did RI 20in light bar must be really 18 in led lighting and another inch in casing. So i had to modify the bumper brackets and I had to cut the housing of my light bar so it would fit. And suprisingly I got it to fit / sealed without having to cut the bracket and weld knew brackets on!

I dont have anything against RI led lights. I just think they are about 500 dollars overpriced. maybe if they came with RGBW control kit I might see 600 being a little justifiable but I promise totron is same quality same durable lens, not yellowing, and its waterproof out of the box! thats just my opinion and those on a budget build or what not I would highly recommend totron to you!

RGB light show

man, those lights are sweet- love the RGBW light boards instead of the stock ones...never thought of using plastidip inside the light housing, but that would seem to be ok since they aren't exposed to the elements....

plasti dip is awesome. I plasti dipped my last trucks bumper and grille and stuff and never had it fade, chip, or peel off while power washing it. I play on plasti dipping the back bumper. I just didnt know how well if at all I could use plasti dip products to match white diamond pearl. But It can get very close to the OEM grade paint. you can see a slight difference if your nose is touchin the paint but other than that 6 inches away and back you wouldnt be able to tell.

I really like your front bumper and the integrated light mounts.

Are the side openings in the bumper angled forward for fog lights? From the pics, they kinda look like they might be angled outward to act as side floods.

Thanks, Yes the openings are for rigid industries Led dually lights, They are angled that way but when you get the fog lights mounted they will be faced forward just like stock fog lights. I ordered the fog lights on jan 15th. the same day I ordered the bumper and rgb kit and some other stuff and so far all im waiting on is the fog lights. I have emailed them and have got no response. Id like to say they are on back order for this delay it dont make any sense but im patiently waiting on them and once I get them I will install and post pics.

Got the K&N Air Filter installed and the fog lights mounted as well as wired up to the factory fog light switch. I could have installed the fog lights more forward facing but since these fog lights are bright and a flooded beam I went ahead and just mounted them flush with the curves of the bumper because even though they face outward the flooded light covers the front all the way to well off the side of the road! They are awesome! Ill take some pics tonight of how much they illuminate off the road!

    • That makes sense, and I think you are describing the real product problem. Capturing data is the easy part. If the owner or technician has to manually dig through five minutes of millisecond-level logs, the product has already failed. The device would be at the ECM harness, not at the OBD port, so I agree that data retrieval and event marking need to be thought through carefully. The way I am thinking about the architecture is: The recorder itself should not depend on a phone, app, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, or cloud connection to capture the event. It should always keep a local rolling buffer and lock the event locally. A button, phone app, or small cabin device would only act as an event marker. If the driver feels a stumble and presses the button 10–30 seconds later, the pre-buffer has to already contain the useful data. For data retrieval, the practical options would be a sealed service USB lead, Wi-Fi download, or a phone/cabin companion device. I would not expect the owner to remove the ECM-side module or work with raw files directly. The cloud or AI side would be for interpretation, not for capturing the event. The truck may have no connection when the issue happens, so the evidence has to be saved locally first. After that, cloud processing could help decode the data, compare it against baselines, and generate a readable report. For the first version, I would keep the automatic triggers conservative and objective: driver event marker bus-off error passive voltage drop / brownout device reset FIFO or queue overflow a normally periodic message disappearing side-to-side communication mismatch, if the topology supports that For “learning normal,” I agree with your point, but I would not want to overclaim it as automatic root-cause diagnosis at first. A realistic first step would be learned baseline comparison for that specific vehicle and operating condition. For example, a value would only be compared against similar conditions: RPM range load / MAP throttle position gear / vehicle speed coolant and oil temperature battery voltage AFM/DFM state, if decoded and validated Then the report could flag things like: this periodic message disappeared compared with its normal timing this value deviated from this vehicle’s normal range under similar conditions the same abnormal pattern repeated after the same type of event the anomaly occurred together with voltage, oil-pressure, misfire, or communication changes But I would still call that “abnormal pattern detected,” not “replace this part,” unless there is enough validated repair data behind it. So the intended product would not be “here is a huge log.” It would need to be an event package: what triggered the capture how much pre/post data was preserved what changed before and after the event whether the device itself reset, overflowed, or saw a bus error selected graphs around the event raw data only as supporting evidence From your perspective, what would make this kind of report useful instead of just another datalog? For example: What are the top 5 parameters or events you would want highlighted first? Would you trust a learned baseline for that specific vehicle, or would you prefer fixed thresholds? How much false-positive flagging would be acceptable before you stopped looking at the reports? What would a one-page report need to show for an independent shop to take it seriously? For misfire, AFM/DFM, oil pressure, or U-code complaints, what would you want the tool to flag automatically?
