canned tunes for now?

My intune i2 just arrived and originally I was just going to go ahead and get a diablew tune, but it is going to be a few weeks before I can get this done. Should I try the canned tunes for now? If the diablew tune doesn't make this truck shift better it's going FOR SALE.

Im using the canned tunes...Improved them enough to make driving truck enjoyable

87 octane tune

Turned AFM off

10% throttle boost

 

TCM tune

I did firm shifts

and took torque management off.<--big improvement

I paid for the intune and Lew tuning it up front. I tuned mine the day I got it, tons better. I haven't got around to having Lew tune it yet.

i ran the 93 octane tune, turned the throttle response all the way up, had firm shifts and it was great! still got amazing fuel mileage!

I actually don't know what rear end I have. I have the 5.3 and the only thing I pull is a 18ft bass boat

if you would please update with results. i love the style looks interior motor of my truck but I absolutely HATE the trans. I really wish there was a way to put the 4speed trans i had in my 03 Avalanche in this truck. never had a single problem even after 200,000 miles

Its a miracle they sell as many of these as they have, i got rid of a tundra for this truck and my tundra would run circles around it. Much better transmission. Im going to tune it in a few days when i get back home.

Yes, i ran the diablo tune and hard shift tune for a few days, its was a very noticeable difference. Lew just sent me back my first custom tune, throttle response isnt near as good as the canned diablo tune. Pretty disappointed. The tcm seems better but the throttle response sucks....Wish i would have chose black bear

I'm running the 91 octane tune with firm shifts and it is a huge improvement over stock. How's the custom tune from diablew?
