2016 Z71 with Front Air Dam Removed?

Hello everyone, this is my first post, sorry if this came up before... I tried google and can't find any pics. It looks to be in two pieces on the '16's and it looks like you can only remove the lower of the two pieces. Has anyone removed both? Does the tow hook/chrome section protrude if I do this?

The lower section is removeable, probably 20-30 screws that hold it on.

Yeah I looked. I know that one is removable..was curious about the rest of the plastic.

Go to a GM parts website and look up the air dam. It will show a diagram of the parts and related hardware.

The rest is but its gonna look ugly IMO. That whole center section and where it goes under the fog lamps is all one big piece, and you will be left with an engine sight shield, frame horns and a funny looking front bumper.

I have A 16 Z71 I think it would look unfinished, you could trim it up a bit but I'm going to just leave it alone .

That looks pretty good I may have to try it on mine. Kinda off topic but your lights look different from mine , do you have the LED stripe on the upper and lower

sections of the headlight ? If so what options and model do you have, there are not a lot of 16 Z71's on here to compare to yet.

Nice you have the LTZ Z71 are your tails also LED ? I like the dual stripe LED's I'm going to look into getting the lowers for mine.

Yeah I think the tails are LED too. I don't think there's an incandescent in the whole truck.

that looks really good.. so the air dam is actually 2 pieces? I was thinking I was going to have to trim it... I obviously have not looked at it close enough in the week that I've owned it.
