Anyone on here have a problem with their adjustable pedals not working?

 

I have a '14 Silverado that I've had since it was new and never really used this feature. When I got the truck some time back, I showed my wife because I thought she would use it, but in the end she never really liked driving such a big vehicle so she rarely ever drives my truck.

 

Well today we got some snow here around Chicago and she needed to get out, so I wanted her to take my 4wd. She went to adjust the pedals and they're not moving. I hear the solenoid (or whatever it is...) clicking when I lift the switch, but no movement.

 

Any advice? I checked the fuse already - it is good.

I had the same issue, relay clicking but no movement. Had the dealer look at it twice, they cleaned a few electrical connections, applied dielectric grease, ect. It would start working than quit. I'm the sole driver so it didn't much matter, lately however it's been working perfectly every time I check it and has been for the last 6 months. The power lumbar still works intermittently even after the entire motor assembly was replaced. I never use it because I don't like that feature anyway. Somehow I think those 2 items are related because I can hear the same relay clicking.

I had the exact same problem and took it in to the dealer, they said they couldn't duplicate my concern but they magically started working since then and so far are still working.

Any chance the pedals are already at the top?

 

How far down will they move from current position?

The Adj Pedals threaded shaft can allow the stop nut to slip past, and yield them stuck in 1 position ... this can happen from pressing the brake down as hard as possible with 2 feet when the truck is not running ... not to worry, the brakes will always work properly - a mechanic can repair usually within short time, sometimes needing repair parts and sometimes not ...

The pedals are all the way down....I'm 6'4 I definitely don't drive with them all the way up haha In nay case, they dont move at all. I'll go to the dealership next time I need an oil change and bring it up then and see what they say. I've tried a few times over the last couple days and they're not moving, so I am guessing it wont magically disappear when I bring it in.

Did anyone find a solution from the dealer for this problem with the power adjustable pedals? My 2014 has been intermittently suffering from this too and has gotten worse to where it hasn't budged in quite a while. I toggle the switch and can hear a rely located under the driver's seat clicking, but no movement from the pedals. The underside of the dash is so strewn with cables and connections I'm not sure I'll be able to follow them to check and clean connections, but that'll be my little project this weekend.

I took my truck to the dealer to get my adjustable pedals (and something unrelated) checked out. I was told that the power seat control module located under the driver's seat was bad. He specifically said the technician found that there was power going into the module from the switch, but none coming out for the wires going to the motor (as described by myself and others above).

 

He quoted me $728 for the repair, so I said no thank you. I asked for the part number, and he said it was 23338340. I can buy the part for about $100. I think i can swap the module without having to remove the seat (which is a HUGE pain to remove from what I see), so I'm planning on replacing the module myself.

 

The one problem I foresee is that I worry that this module has to be programed or flashed by the dealer to the specific application that it will be installed in. Does anyone know if that is true? I'll update on here if I learn anything while I research this.

So yes, confirmed with the service advisor, the power seat module would have to be programed by the dealer. Their charge is $145. I think I'm going to hold off since the total cost of $250 (assuming I can get to it without taking out the seat) is probably more than it's worth fixing a feature I almost never use.

Having same issue on 2015 yukon. Can hear solenoid or relay click few seconds after pressing button in either direction. Any idea what adjustment dealer made?

Just wanted to add to this thread in case anyone is interested.  Since I recently added Seat Memory to my Truck, I can speak of the pedal adjust motors.

 

On trucks with Seat Memory, the adjust controls from the IP Switch does indeed hit the Seat Memory Module first, then it leaves the Memory Module and hits the pedal adjust motor.

 

On Non-Seat Memory Trucks, the signal from the IP Switch goes to the X51L Fuse Panel and hits 2 Relays.  Forward and Rearward control.  From the Relays (which are non serviceable relays as they are printed in the Fuse panel), they go to the pedal adjust motor.  

 

So depending on which optioned truck you have, there might be some validity to a bad MSM (Memory Seat Module).  For non-seat memory trucks, maybe a failing relay.

Try tapping the actual motor above the accelerator (gas)  peddle while holding power to the switch back and forth, that worked for me.

Now THAT’S the kind of help I needed (worked!)

Maybe A pic of the motor to tap on will help others...I’m touching it with my canoe paddle.

Tried the same thing Badger_Mike did and it worked for me also!  As Truck mentioned, the key is to tap it while pressing the switch.  Cannot believe it was that easy!
