I was there as well, just on the other side of the grandstands. All the wrecks were pretty much right in front of me. Great weekend for racing. Chevy had a pretty decent display outside the track as well. They had the Colorado 2.8 Duramax on display. We've made the trip 3 of the last 5 years from thurs-mon.

Yeah, SHR just lost me as a fan. Probably won't even pull for them the remainder of this year.

just noticing. why are they using the c6 vette for a pace car and not a c7?

Those must have been from past 500's. The pace car this year was a Camry.

Before the race I told the Mrs that with Toyota providing the pace car, and all the trucks for the ride around that a Toyota would probably be the winner...I called that one right

She roots for Harvick, now that Gordon retired, I pull for any Chevy driver and Matt Kenseth. His little run in with Joey earned him lots of points in my book.

I am a MK fan also. I thought he was going to pull it out there at the end...Bummer he didn't....

I just can't see how leaving Hendricks will gain any competitive advantage. How could it? in only 6 years with Hendrick they have 2 Championships and a runner up finish, plus a few more top 10's and several race wins. For a relatively young organization (I think 2003 was Haas first year?), it's obvious the association with Hendrick made them a contender.

Sponsorship money. I have to pull for Harvick and Mears. Hometown guys

Apparently, now with Ford, the only "outside" help will be the Roush-Yates engines. SHR will be doing their own chassis, bodies, etc. I'm sure quite a bit of money came their way, also. Guess it's a business decision, but my allegiance doesn't have to follow them. After all, Ford didn't pad my wallet with the move! Ha ha!

Those 4 pace cars were from previous races.

Wow I can't believe they're going to Ford. I thought Stewart was a diehard Chevy guy, but I guess not. The money must have been too good which is another reason I lost interest in Nascar. I fear that Chevy won't get to many wins after this being there will be four more less in the field.
