I was chosen as the second chance winner of the Daytona 500 tickets that were given away by GM-TRUCKS.com. I would like to thank Zane, Kinggrr for giving up his seats, and everyone else that made this possible. Daytona just completed a $400 million dollar renovation and let me say they really hit a home run. I have been to several tracks through the years, Texas Motor Speedway, Bristol, Talladege, and Daytona (2011) and I really could not have imagined a track with all of the amenities that were added.

I took photos to share with everyone, some are of the track, the seats, and displays. When entering the track, I entered through the Chevrolet gate. Chevrolet had lots of displays, some of them were up on the 4th level!!! They made an announcement before the race regarding the new Chevrolet Delivery available at the speedway. There is an extra delivery charge, but you can have your new car or truck delivered to the track and make a couple of laps before actually hitting the street.

Moderators, Zane said to post this in the 2014-2016 section. I know its not all truck related, so move it as you see fit.

The Chevrolet Delivery Center, you can have your car or truck delivered to the track and make a couple of laps (for a fee)

The place is unbelievable now. If I would have had a professional photographer take the pictures, it would not have captured the feeling of greatness.

Before the race I told the Mrs that with Toyota providing the pace car, and all the trucks for the ride around that a Toyota would probably be the winner...I called that one right

She roots for Harvick, now that Gordon retired, I pull for any Chevy driver and Matt Kenseth. His little run in with Joey earned him lots of points in my book.

I actually stopped watching after last year. It's just not what it used to be. I still don't mind hearing about Chevy taking a win when it happens though.

Awesome pics! I'm a contractor to the Kansas Speedway, and I can only imagine what that facility is like. Definitely a bucket list trip for me. Looks like you had an awesome time!

Nice pics and thanks for sharing! I have never been a huge fan, probably because nobody I knew growing up was into it. That looks like an amazing place. Do they do tours of it when races aren't going on or do you have to go a race to see all of that? I would love to go check it out sometime. I am sure that would create a new fan in me.

They have events going there all the time. There's usually a "ride along" program where you can ride in one of those cars driven by a professional, or you can even drive one yourself! I'm sure there are tours of the new facility.

Going to a race live and in person is way different than watching on tv. The atmosphere is what is so addicting for most of these fans. They typically show up on Thursday, and party til Sunday. Then go to the next track and do it again!

Just like sahls01gmc stated, most if not all tracks have activities all the time. Going to a live race makes watching TV seem boring and monotonous. The bonus is there are no commercial breaks.

Great pics - the remodel is definitely fantastic. Not a NASCAR fan but go down every year for the Rolex24. I do love how that place gets absolutely PACKED for the 500!

And there is something to be said for seeing it live - the sounds, the smells, the overall atmosphere... just can't replicate that on TV!
