So i just had my truck into the dealer yesterday for an oil change since i get 3 free ones and didnt want to pass it up.

I was suspicious that they did not rotate my tires because the fronts were still extremely dirty, but i said **** it next time i go down i will make sure they do it.

After checking their work today, i am going back and chewing them out. There was oil dripped all under the hood which they did a half ass job wiping up, and the bottom scrape plate under the truck was all covered too because the lazy ****ers just let it drain all over it instead of removing the cover.

I also found a leak in the front which appears to be going to lines in my radiator, should be a simple fix?

The **** didnt put the bolt back in on that side of the cover, and you can clearly tell its leaking all over yet they told me my truck was A-OK and gave me the papwork to prove it. It took me 2 seconds to spot the leak as soon as i looked under the truck there is no way they missed it.

I will let you know how it goes when i go back and read them the riot act.

In the meantime, can i just get new hose lines and install these myself, looks like an easy fix?

Why is that not an AC Delco filter as well?

My dealer did the same thing on my truck on one of the oil changes, tried pouring the oil in by the valve cover instead of using a funnel and poured it all over the valve cover. Had oil smell in the truck for the next 2 weeks, chewed them out about that and they offered me another oil change for the issue.

Its not a chevy dealer so i am fine with the other brand filter, its the fact they left oil around which stinks like you said. I am also pissed about the leaking line they clearly identified and hid. I remember which bay they pulled my truck into, if there was no lift, i can pretty much be sure they didnt rotate the tires.

OP, since you say it isn't a Chevy dealer, what "dealer" did you take it to that gives you "3 free ones"? GM dealer should repair/replace those hoses if under warranty. I believe one of those might be the transmission cooler line which had a recall some time ago to make sure it wasn't leaking...

Its a Jeep dealership and this was a trade in there, so i was just getting my free oil and then doing everything myself after that. I will be sure to point out the recall to them and try and get that fixed, then never step foot in there again.

On the phone with dealer now, they said the recall was already done for that part. Can anyone tell me what the part numbers are for these hoses? The seem to connect to the radiator on the passenger side of the truck, then connect down on the front bottom side of the engine block.

Edit - Just got off phone, she said the oil lines were covered under power train but the trans were not, bringing her in this weekend to get it looked at unless i identify the line before then and replace myself if its not the oil one which would be under warranty.

There are 2 lines going to the radiator on the passenger side, one connects on the top side and one of the bottom of radiator. Looks like the bottom one is leaking, which line is that for trans or engine oil?

Looks like you need some new transmission cooler lines. The recall for the trans line leak is not for the any other part on the line but the connection at the transmission. They had a problem where they weren't installed correctly. Your leak is the actual crimps where the rubber meets the steel. I'd find your nearest GM dealer and make an appointment for that.

How much am i looking at? Do i need special tools or can i get this done in my driveway? Thanks!

How many miles are on your truck? Should be under powertrain warranty.

about 50k, i called dealer last night and they said oil lines were covered but trans were not. I guess i should at least bring it in for them to check, worst they say is its not covered. I bought it used with about 40k on the clock, and dont abuse it or town anything, all easy driving with mix of backroad and highway driving. I do take it on dirt roads now and then but not much since its still winter.

Take it to a Chevrolet dealership, should be covered under warranty.

Truth! Stop taking it to that dealership where you got it from, take it to a Chevrolet dealership like DCazares suggested, they'll run the VIN and do the proper recalls/fixing.

Hate to add salt to the wound, take the brand vehicle to same brand shop! Non-GM techs working on GM vehicles equals the carnage you showed us in the pics. <- (there are exceptions to this rule, but its a "best practice's" & common sense. Not sure if you know this, but automotive technicians are generally paid by the amount of work they produce known as “flat rate” compensation. So speed of completion is beat into them, quality work not so much.

BTW you have lots of rust starting to form on your frame, by the looks of it you must have a northern vehicle with all that salt & that engine bay is filthy! TLC

The selling dealer should have sent the vehicle over to GM to have the recall's preformed before selling you the truck, most states its illegal to sale a vehicle with a open recall.

lastly, why would you return back to the Jeep dealer after something like this? just lick your wounds and move on. Free oil change.... nothing is free!
