Grounding upgrades

Have been searching but wasn't able to find anything here about people upgrading the grounds connections/cables on these trucks. It was basically required on my Trailblazer SS with any kind of stereo mods. I was just curious if anyone was doing it on these trucks.

No one has had problems with the lights dimming when the (upgraded) stereo is banging? If that's the case, good to know it is a non-issue. I just know it was on previous Chevys I've had.

I haven't done any upgrades yet i was wanted to be ahead of the game. I was also told capacitors was kind of old school.

I have the Kicker system (both DSP/amp and sub/amp) and have no issue in my 2015.

Common GM problem. Mine were dimming under load stock. I went to 4 gauge wire on the ground going to the body up behind passenger front tire. Added an additional body ground to the fender and don't seem to have anymore issues. I used to be able to sit idle and turn my steering wheel and watch the lights dim.. ..embarrassing on a truck this expensive. But electrical has been GMC weakness for a long time... so I guess I was expecting it. Still love the truck and would rather run a few wires than drive a Ford!! Lol

Thanks, thats exactly what i was talking about. On my SS the kit upgraded the alt wire, the main ground and added an additional ground from the block to the frame. I am looking for the optimal place to add an additional ground.

Would you mind posting a pic or describing where you ran your additional ground? Thanks
