Replacement shocks with NHT / Max Trailering option ??

Is anyone aware of a replacement shock that is recommended by the manufacturer to be used with the NHT option (Max Trailering option). As an example, if you search Bilstein's site, they specifically exclude it.

Good post bud. I've noticed the something. I'm setting up my non-NHT truck for some HD towing and when looking for shocks it seems like the OE AC's are the only shock for NHT trucks. I've looked quite a bit.... have not found anything either.

Has anyone had any luck in getting some good aftermarket shocks for towing.  I'd really like Bilstein 4600 Series shocks.  My truck is not lifted (nor do I want it to be) and I tow a 34', 9,000 pound travel trailer.

from what I've been told, the 4600 or 5100 will work great

I have 2018 NHT max tow 4x4. 

 

I installed bilstein 5100 front and rear. Handles like a truck now, not bouncy anymore and much firmer ride which I like. 

 

Front 24-238304

Rear 33-238319

 

I raised my front 1.75” (3rd notch from bottom)

 

if if you are not going to raise the front then go 4600.

Thanks for the feedback. Have you done any towing with a trailer that is fairly heavy (around 1,000 pound tongue weight)?

Hi Steve,

 Most I have towed is 3500lb enclosed 7x14 trailer. Tongue weight was 300 - 350lb according to my weigh safe hitch. Truck handled it no problem. The stock shocks were way to bouncy. The Bilstein 5100's definitely firmed everything up.
