2016 Sierra Denali Missing Features - Why? Auto braking, adapt CC etc.

For those that suggested I should have bought something else then (paraphrasing), I knew what I was getting and this is what I wanted. I just can't figure out for the life of me why these items are seemingly intentionally left out? It just doesn't make any sense...that's all.

Also, good points on the lack of rear vents and auto up/down for all windows.

Was looking through the Ford King ranch edition and it has all of these missing items and more like heated rear seats. But, I don't care for the fords. Just surprising with GMC trying to be the luxury truck maker of Chevy/GMC (GM) that they let the competition beat them out in a lot of features that they already were using in previous years on their Yukon's.

Again, just doesn't make sense.

Ya guess I have to agree, at times you can't help but think WTF were they thinking.

God forbid you actually pay attention when driving so you don't need an emergency braking system or adaptive cruise control. All that these "safety" systems do is make people less aware because you want to count on the vehicle to drive for you so you become lazy. And oh my God, I hope you don't get tired out from moving the steering wheel yourself.

Sometimes I wonder how some people were able to drive 25+ years ago....

With both hands on the wheel at the 10 and 2 position.

SUV's are usually mom's with kids that could use some extra help driving. Although woman are usually good multitaskers! Me personally I don't like all these gadgets. Too much shit to break. On day one I manually adjusted the steering wheel both on tele and tilt and haven't touched it since. That's truly a waste of money. A stout drivetrain is what gets my package tingly.. :driving:

x2 for this. I kept my order as simple as possible in my truck, I wanted the towing package and the 6.2L and nothing else. I was offered the sunroof, the sonic seats or whatever they were, nope. I think I am spoiled with heated seats and steering wheel, adjustable pedals, and touchscreen radio controls.

I was just at a motor show in Edmonton this past weekend, I sat in the Mercedes, Beemers, Acuras, Lexus', the gadgetry is unreal and very cushy. Sat in a King ranch F150 as well . Nice amenities but I personally don't need them. I understand the industry status quo is dictating more and more technology but it is what it is I guess.

One of the reasons I loved the G8! Simple and a blast! I bought it for $29,500. About 4k off the sticker. It had some typical goodies but no fancy stuff. Main reason I wanted it was the 6.0L and 6spd auto. Best car I ever owned! After I tweaked it, she was pure driving joy! Sold her 5 years later in super mint condition with 40k miles for $25k. I definitely wanted this type of love carried on with my truck and it has been since day one.
