I agree, but I bet a lot of the buyers just sign on the dotted line for close to MSRP for 6-8 years.

 

If someone doesn't do their due diligence then that's their fault. Full size trucks are what keep the American brands afloat, if one were truly more expensive it'd cost them sales.

It's just amazing to me the difference as far as MSRP goes between walking on a Ford lot and a Chevy lot. I think the highest I've saw an F-150 is $63k and the highest Chevy was $52k. I think the Ford was a Lariat, and the Chevy was a High Country, but I'm not sure how those two compare options wise to contribute to their respective MSRP figures?

 

It would be interesting to send someone good at haggling to try and negotiate the price of each truck and see what they could get the price of each one down to.

GM is also cutting fleet sales & has LESS inventory sitting than Ford & FCA.

Unless I am misunderstanding, units shipped are what we see for sales numbers monthly.

Well I worked at a dealership that sold Chevy, Cadi, Ford and all Mopars. It seemed like you had to pay more for higher trims for the same features you could get in a lower or mid trim GM or Ram. Also I remember an F250 Platinum selling for $65K and not too long after a Chevy Dually High Country was sold for $68. So for the same price you got a hell of a lot more. I think part of Ford's success is just not taking a bailout which I respect, but Ford people seem to think that means their product is automatically better in all categories.
