Ford kills march sales

The number that jumped out at me on this list was that Nissan sold 8k Frontiers. Considering how old it is and it gets worse gas mileage than pretty much any other truck out there, I just find that very surprising.

It's amazing with how expensive Ford has the F-150, and it still sells like hot cakes.

They sell a lot of fleet

And they practically give away their fleet trucks.

True. I worked for Nissan for a few years. If I recall you can get close to $15k on a base Frontier manual trans, windows and locks.

thats ford f-series sales ....not just the f 150 ... the f 250 is a strong part of those numbers

ford does not break down by model ...... nor does GM or dodge

i always thought that ford gets away with one here .... the f250 is a completly different truck but is counted in as the same line ..... silverado 1500 and 2500 are the same basic truck body and interior .....

those tv commercials always say ..... ford F SERIES .. best selling for 33 years

The only way Ford can say that is because on paper Chevy and GMC are separate but if you combine them being that they're the same truck Ford isn't the highest sold every year.

For the record - Dodge does not make trucks - the entire division is called Ram, Dodge makes cars ... (I know ... stupid marketing ...)

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles N.V. (NYSE: FCAU) sold 44,874 Ram pickups in March, an increase of 8% year over year.

They've been fleet dumping the Frontier for about a year now. That's gotta be all that keeps the plant running.

None of the trucks are comparatively expensive. MSRP is meaningless and the reality is that even using that as a baseline they're all similar in price. With any of them any buyer who knows what they're doing should be able to get thousands off MSRP. The Tundra is the only one that's a bit different- the MSRP when I've "built" one has been much less than the others but there is less wiggle room on them.

Ford still outsells when Silverado/Sierra are combined.

Same in Canada with the F150 leading the pack but Ram is 2nd out selling Silverado/Sierra combined.

Its interesting looking at the charts for example in the US GM is the #1 selling manufacturer and Fiat Chrysler is #1 in Canada.

I did say that with them combined Ford doesn't outsell GM every year. Some years and maybe most, but not all.

I'm amazed how many people brag about getting the price they wanted after they read on ____ ____ online on what they sell for (ha ha -not even close) and have no clue full size American trucks are discounted 10-25% +- NEW

I agree, but I bet a lot of the buyers just sign on the dotted line for close to MSRP for 6-8 years.
