Center Console Rattle - Anyone???

I've begun to have a rattle noise coming from the center console/compartment. There are a few "rough" sections of pavement I drive across to and from my house, and it's Freakin' ANNOYING on a $50K truck with only 22K miles!!!!!

I just found last night that the air duct above the drivers feet was rattling in my truck. Check that out.

My center console was rattling also. On someone's suggestion I bought some PTFE-IMPREGNATED tape and used two strip about an inch long on each side and this quite mine. There is a little bump out on the bottom side of the lid that is making the noise. I will trt to take a picture and post it this evening.

Took mine to the dealer. My issue was the consol cover would squeek. They adjusted the latch

Yea the door on my center console makes a squeak/rattle once in a while.

Mine rattles also . It is the latch making the noise .

This is on the passengers side. But there is a bulge on the underside of the lid. You can clearly see the tape. I put it on both bumps, passengers side and drivers side.

Thanks for the picture, Eddie - helps a lot! I'm going to get some tape on mine soon, because that rattle sound is a real Biotch on such a new vehicle!

Mine squeaked where the front edge of the console meets the dash (under the AUX buttons). The dealer found a PI that said to put tape between the console and dash. Seems to have fixed the problem for now ...
