Rattling cab vents ?

Anybody else have Ringo Starr behind their rear seat ? My cab vents rattle like crazy when it´s windy outside & there´re driving me crazy . What´s the fix ?

Is that the same thing as the plastic piece or whatever between the cab and bed? Always rattles when I close one of the rear doors. I don't really notice a rattle when driving though.

Now that you've mentioned it, I occasionally can hear it rattling when going over bumps in the road, really have to have the radio really low to hear it.

I just had my truck at the dealer for a sun visor squeak and rear headliner rattle. They fixed that, it was soooo quiet in my truck (well, minus the key fob hitting the steering column), and now you've got me hearing this noise :-(

Does it sound like a metal rattle or plastic? Ours sounds more metal like so I think it might be the power slider motor or something. Will have them look closer next time it goes in. Guess it could be a hard plastic rattle.

Definitely a plastic sounding rattle . I plan on having the dealer look at it next time i have it in but wondered if anyone else had the same issue . Or if it was completely normal . I´m fairly certain it is the vents because it mainly does it if there is a influx of air into the cab.

Ah gotcha, mine does it on slightly rough roads with a bunch of small bumps. Never noticed it with the air. Will check though if that does anything.

Mine started doing the same thing after I took it into the shop for some power train work - software update and new torque converter. It never made this rattling sound before, nor does a new truck make the noise. Mine has just over 5K miles on it, and almost always makes the noise when closing doors on the driver side and sometimes going over rough surfaces. Why should this be considered an acceptable situation?

Totally agree when a person is spending this kind of money the expect certain quality . My 02 did not come with a 5 piece drum set behind the seat ....
