"Decked" is a game changer for me

I want it... how much we talking here?

$1079.99 for mine. I know it's kinda pricey, but finally had enough of all the climbing in the bed and digging thru toolbox. Doesn't seem as bad also thinking how I'll probably be able to transfer to the next truck when the time comes

It's great for a work truck if all you haul is building materials, but I see that it limits what you can haul. And I mean something with any real height and weight which this makes you have to lift something a foot higher. I'm not talking about what it can handle on top of it since I see a 4 wheeler, but I mean imagine trying to haul something like a fridge, just wouldn't be able to do it. It shortens the bed rail by more than half so anything with any real height you'd have to put right up against the cab and the tie down points might be too low for something real tall.

You make a good point. Everyone's needs are the same. I have to haul around larger items like fridge etc when I picking up the appliances for the houses I'm building, but usually that's multiple items and I just get the trailer.

It's had its advantages like any other accessory, but also its disadvantages. Just got to weight it out if it'll benefit your needs.

But again great point people should consider.

This is a pretty sweet accessory, and in my line of work I would rather have bigger items in a trailer anyway. At $1000 its cheaper than having a van payment at the moment.

Great looking system.

I'd probably get it if I didn't already have a set of drawers I bought 10 years ago.

Looks great,I remember when Decked made their first push on the market, seems like they've done well. Another alternative is TruckVault. They make some very heavy duty systems both weatherproof and meant to be under a tonneau/camper top. TruckVault also offers high and low profile sets and their own section of dividers and accessories.

When I first bought my truck, I looked really hard and long at the Decked system. I decided that what I carry just isn't compatible with it unless I were to get a cap. I currently have a tonneau cover that makes my bed pretty weather tight so I can throw hay, feed bags, etc up there and keep the rain off it. If I had the Decked, I couldn't do that. Like you said, different systems for different needs.

It is a pretty neat system and if I was starting from scratch (cover came already installed on the truck) I would seriously consider going the Decked and capped route.

Just figured I would add a Picture. I love the decked system and with the Softopper its a great system. Here is is with 1500 lb on it and the guys at decked are great to deal with.

1500lb of dirt and the Decked system might be a little over the rated limit

Yeah I love the decked system. Probably the best upgrade I've ever purchased for any of my trucks.

Just ordered my Decked system. Can't wait for it to get here next week so I can get it installed.

Awesome! I'm excited for you! It takes them around a week, maybe slightly longer to get it. It's delivered via freight and the freight company will call to verify someone is home.

You will be extremely happy with it, let us know your thoughts.

It took me a few days after installing to finally get it organized like I wanted, but now I don't think I could go without.

It took me about 3 hours and a 6 pack of Budweiser to install it. Absolutely love the Decked System. It allows me to store my golf clubs, fishing gear, and tools safely. I wish Decked had put the drain feature at the tail gate side of the box rather than the cab side of the box. I would recommend this system for anyone looking for safety and security.

Yeah I know even bed covers have drains at the front near the cab. I believe it's because the front usually sit lower when stock.

That's awesome tho, I wish they made the ammo cans into little coolers(insulated), and put led stripes in the drawers. Other than that they are great.

    • Ahh, sorry about that - I got some bad info. Newdude is correct. That's what I get for working 13 hours straight ... on my "vacation", lol.   Should've checked the files I had instead of the internet.   Anyway ... this is GREAT news, since this would've been an absolute friggin nightmare to get working.   I don't think the lack of VVT is causing this - you've got another issue. Wiring, I'm betting.   I'm telling you right now, your computer isn't bad. If it worked before the swap, it's working now. You need to do some more (better) diagnostics and figure out exactly what you're missing. Did you test every wire directly at the MAF? Have 5V reference? Ground? If you're reading ZERO g/s, your Hz isn't much use - it's going to be the wrong value anyway. The MAF is not working, and you need to find out WHY.   I got this off the net, so VERIFY first: Pin A: Black (BLK) wire, Circuit 552, serves as the Sensor Return (Ground).  Pin B: Tan (TAN) wire, Circuit 472, carries the Intake Air Temperature (IAT) signal.  Pin C: Yellow (YEL) wire, Circuit 492, is the primary MAF Sensor Signal output to the PCM. Pin D: Pink (PNK) wire, Circuit 339 or 539, provides Ignition 1 Voltage (Power).  Pin E: Tan/Black wire, Circuit 552 or similar, often associated with the Intake Air Temperature ground or signal return.  Global-A list: https://postimg.cc/KKJnQC85
    • Correct....the end user can't reach to Realtruck directly like they can if they purchase a Bak, Undercover, etc...  It has to go through a dealer.
    • It is 4wd. shop told me it is the slip yoke. But not sure.
    • No, I did not tune out vvt. From what I read it should still be able to run without it, it'll just lose some torque/power.    I can see how that would make it not run correctly, but why would that cause the faulty MAF readings?   EDIT: I just ran a quick test and checked, and as I expected, the computer sees that the VVT cam phaser solenoid is not present, and throws a code for it, and does not try to change the cam angle at all. Commanded position just remains at zero, 100% of the time. This makes me think that the VVT is most likely not the cause of the problem though if anyone has a different/better explanation, I'm all ears.   UPDATE: I was able to find that my scan tool does indeed support reading the frequency (hz) off of the MAF (I thought it wasn't supported but turns out I just didn't know where to look for it). I noticed that regardless of engine state it always however this Is not what I observed with my multimeter. Like I said before, the MAF seems to put out a normal signal during cranking and then the signal drops to a very erratic reading once the engine is running. It seems from what my scan tool is telling me that the ECM is not recognizing this at all, and just reads 0 Hz 100% of the time. This pushes me towards the the PCM itself is faulty. I I have the PCM out of the 2007 donor vehicle, which I may try to connect and program (it's only ~50 bucks to get the software for a one-time programming)
    • Did you tune out the VVT?  07-09 they did not have VVT.  2010-2013 they did.      If you haven't tuned it, its trying to adjust cam timing.
