Just drove '15,

5.3, 6 speed, 3.42 differential, Z71 4x4, crew cab, leather seats, navigator, etc. kind of high end. Seeing wha' they do.

Well, they take $7,722.75 off list, blah mess, came with $45,056, said the main manager come down another $500, so come to $44,556. It's LTZ model, fairly high end I think. Z71 off road package., etc. I've never bought a new truck, just a few new cars before.

This one has exactly what we want in a truck, but them boys don't know that. Sounds too high to me for a '15. Okay boys, let me have it!

My 16 z71 was 49k new my dealer took off 10k for me. There has to be more savings for you in a 15

I agree. All 15s around me are $10k off before walking in the door to negotiate. I got a better deal than what they offered on a 16 LTZ Z71 (sounds like newer version of what you're looking at). I'd look elsewhere.

That's a pretty lousy discount.

A friend bought a '15 LTZ for over $12k off and the truck had an MSRP of just under $50k. The purchase was this last December. To top it off, I put his truck through Costco promotion and Costco gave us a $700 cash card.

Almost 2 months ago I picked up my 2015 sierra denali for 11000 off sticker and got them to give me top dollar on my trade. I told them I would not step foot in the dealership till we agreed on a price and trade. I leveraged how long the vehicle had been on their lot and such. Worked out really well for me

The GM dealer I bought my truck from is offering 10k off msrp. I bought my 15 GMC 1500 Slt for 13k off sticker in Dec. Vancouver Wa.

Wow, will be interested to see how this turns out as know you have been on the fence for a long while.

The 10/12/14 grand off of sticker all sounds good, but you also have to factor in how large a dealership is & the volume they turn. Would think the higher volume guys are getting much larger program payments.

Additionally, the higher volume dealers have probably sold off most of their 2015 (truck) inventory at this point. So may need to weigh how much you want the 2015 vs finding a 2016.

Am not saying you should pay more, but keep in mind several factors if you really like that 2015.

That aside, just saw a 2016 Silverado crew in St Louis, MO area that was $12k off. Have no idea what hoops you have to jump through to get that price as have not dealt with them personally. Then of course you can always go to Laura or use them for comparison.

I think I just saw on the Chevrolet site that they are offering 15% cash back on all remaining 2015 vehicles.

On a 15 model 20% off msrp should be your starting point imo, if they laugh walk!

I would also like to add that the updated headlights alone on the 16 model is worth the added cost or wait to get maximum discount on one instead of buying a 15, just my opinion though.

Yeah, they are saying this is 15% off, etc. That's the $7,xxx off. I say, BLAH, BLAH, BLAH!! Knuckahaids don't know me. Just wait, they'll be calling me today. For what it's worth, sticker on this one is $52,409. I guess the stickers are the same everywhere for same equipped trucks? This is a high volume dealer, a heap of '16s on the lot, like 150 or more, and about three '15s. In a small town.

I also found a '14 Denali, 17,122 miles, at a dealer in small town 20 miles away, and --- 6.2! They have it listed on web site for $46,330. Think I'll go check that one out today. Plus, it's black, whereas the new '15 is a silverish color. I like black or white better.

'01LS1, now, you really know me! I've been on this site, F150 sites, Tundra sites, and Ram sites reading, researching since '08! I just love trucks! Not very brand loyal at all, especially for the geezer that I am. But, I do like GM trucks! I've read all the earlier oil usage issues, vibration, etc., but I still think they are great trucks compared to competition. You can get great and bad trucks in any brand. My current '02 F150 is a very good truck, but it's the newest truck I have!

Here's the link for that '14 Denali I'm going to check out:

I just went to Chevy's build/price site, built one similar, it came to over $53,000, then discounts they subtract, $50,000. I learned that this truck, LTZ Z71, is the next one down from High Country, for which, one needs to sell a hind leg to buy.

To help y'all boys get an idea, this has all the mess on it, heated/cooled seats and steering wheel, bed liner, brake controller, 8" GPS screen, 20" wheels, remote start, etc., etc. Looks like it's tricked out with everything the LTZ Z71 can have as an option. The $45,000 price they gave is to'al, tax, etc. (to'al is Bri'ish for total. I've spent too much time around Brits). I'm thinking for this particular truck, if I could get them to come on down to about $43,000, I might get it. Might, I say.

Thanks for your help, boys. But remember, if you paid a good bit less for a '16, or '15, check to see how it's equipped compared to this one. The only more expensive truck is the High Country.

Oh if they are a high volume dealer, I would go in at $40k + tax, title, license on that 2015. Not sure if you are trading anything in though, which they may stick it to you on that if you have negotiated down to a bottom dollar $40k price. Good luck either way & look forward to seeing photos of your new truck this weekend. :driving:
