SO IF YOU LEARN ANYTHING FROM THIS GET A DASHCAM CAMERA. at first he was saying that it went yellow and I ran through the light. Once I showed the cops the video he took the blame. 17 year old kid. Not smart trying to lie.

 

 

Aftermath. Broke the center pin on my leaf spring. Broke my running board and the plastic mud flap. Since the tire got pushed back when I ran over his hood it barely touched the fender. Shouldn't even have to paint. Just pull the dent out.

His car is well ****ered up.

It's a garmine 20. But they have a new model now. This is the new one they are $200.

Also I've had a fee dash cameras and like many things YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. Buy a good one and you will only have to buy one.

Damn that sucks man. I have wanted a dash cam since I got rear ended. Too many ppl texting and doing their makeup. Great way to have evidence you're not at fault. With the dash can does it come on when you start the truck or do you have to power on and off each time? What about memory? Does it let you know its getting full and then do you need to wipe all the footage if you don't need it?

Oh plus one on the lift. Silverado doesn't look nearly as bad as his front end...lol. Same thing happened when I got rear ended. Needed a new bumper but he needed a new car. Lol

It turns on when the truck turns on. And it records in a loop. Records over the last file when it's full.

Glad to hear your ok. I have been running a dash cam for 2 yrs. have had a ton of close calls the funniest is the deer that ran out And just at the last second she tucked her ass in so I missed her. The latest was a dump truck losing crap left and right took damage to the hood (nick). Sent video to the company and they agreed I could file a

Claim however it is only a small chip and I touched up myself

FYI I got into a wreck a year ago same situation as your except they were going even faster to try and make it. Just no way to avoid and I had my new born baby in the car so I wasn't going to risk putting my child at danger from swerving. So I practically tboned them at 40 mph. Then the low life's didn't even buckle his kids up lucky somehow they came out fine. So they tried saying I ran the light sure enough no matter what the straight away will come out on top which is what happened. He was at fault as he should of been.
