New Chevrolet CAI installed

Just thought I would put this up here since I haven't seen anyone mention it. GM has a new CAI kit for the 5.3 2014/15/16 Silverado's. I just picked one up and put it in this afternoon. Since I wasn't able to find any pics online with one installed, here is what it looks like (and the obligatory before shot). GM says this one does not void your warranty.

BTW the tube is not plastic, it is aluminum. It took about 30 minutes to install.

I have always put K&N CAI intakes on my vehicles and have never had a problem with GM voiding my warranty because of it. I will say that intake does look really nice on that 5.3l.

Depends on if the dealer want's to get sticky or not. I know a couple of guys that had their dealer said theirs was void from putting a 3rd party in. Just didn't want to ever have any hassle.

I already purchased one from Cold Air Inductions but curious on what GM charges for that, if you don't mind me asking?

In Canada it retails for $650 (not what I paid for it, I paid $450 CAD), the US list price is $550.

Don't know really, but it seems to be a bit more responsive on the throttle (completely willing to accept that it is all in my head) and it does sound different than the stock air box. It seems to compliment my corsa exhaust nicely. Won't be able to tell if there is any mileage gains on this tank as I was playing after installing it listening to the difference on near WOT.
