So after reading through the forum, I have under 200 miles on my truck and I am getting a chirp/squeel coming on and off throttle.

Also light throttle I will hear it.

Granted I JUST bought this car and seems to be a prevalent problem and I am not happy to say the least......

Lots of posts on this one. Mine does it, and it KILLS me. When does it chirp/squeak? Everytime you hit the throttle, or everytime your truck switches from V4 to V8? Consensus is, is that the squeak you hear is back pressure from the flapper valve on the exhaust system when your truck switches form four cylinder mode to eight. Some people have tied it shut... which I am weary of doing. My dealership says its normal. We will see what they say if something breaks.

I just hit 1k miles on my 2016 Midnight Edition and not once have I heard what you're speaking of...take it back to the dealer and have them witness the sound. OR! do a OEM exhaust delete like I did and go aftermarket...if you like a rumble I highly recommend the Metal Mulisha by Gibson...plus the massive black exhaust tip looks killer on the black trucks. Good Luck!

I was told by my service advisor that the Chirp/Squeak is the blow-by valve releasing to control the "weird" rumble in the exhaust caused by the AFM (Active Fuel Management) in V4 mode, there is not enough pressure on the exhaust under normal idle to keep the valve open so as soon as you hit the gas it throws the valve open.

Your hearing the valve slam open against the built-in stop.

"Clang!"
