Two Dead Batteries After installing TRS HIDs

I'm looking for some guidance and help. I recently installed TRS's Morimoto Sierra Spec 5K 35W HIDs, installed it myself and it was good for about a week, then my battery died. I was thinking it was probably just an old battery, I went and bought a new one. Just two days with the new battery my truck did not start up, having to have it jumped again.

Seeing if theres something I missed in the installation that causes the batteries to die or is there a solution I can do before removing my HIDs? Thank you.

I doubt it's the HIDS causing that. Sounds like some electrical gremlin that just happened to appear after you installed the hids.

I agree that it would probably be more of a coincidence and likely something else. You could easily go back to the halogen bulbs and disconnect the wiring harness from the battery to verify it though.

This could be a multitude of problems. what is the voltage in your battery? is your starter getting electrical signal? it could be your theft deterrent system. there needs to be some more diagnostics done before we could tell you what is wrong with your truck. If you have cables hooked up to your truck and it still wont start, it is not your battery that is the issue or your HID headlights.

I've had the TRS HID's for a few months now. No issues.

Here is a video of my install:
