Cleaning 2016 LTZ grille...not a fan

I've owned many vehicles over the years with hard to clean front grillework but this 2016 LTZ is by far the worst. So many nooks and crannys for bugs to get in and stick. And so much chrome to try and get clean. I'm thinking about one of those screens to cover the front during long summer trips to save me a ton of work but I've only ever seen them on elderly people's vehicles and I'm not quite that old yet...haha. Any opinions?

I'd pre-soak the front grille area with your soap with the grille dry (in the shade of coarse) and let it sit on it for a few minutes while you clean the rest of the truck. Every few minutes go, and soak it again. When you get to the front to clean, if you have a high quality soap with good surfactants, the bugs should wash away a lot easier.

Presoak at the local carwash and then high pressure and hot water with soap.... they blast off like nothing. I could never wash this stuff by hand... would be scratched to hell and take ages.

Hot water, bugs melt right off! Or use peroxide in a spray bottle. They will also come right off!

Surf City garage has a product called road trip grime destroyer that I use. My commute is 90 miles/day and when it's love bug season the whole front end is caked with them when I get home. I spray it on, it has like a gel consistency so it does not run off, and hit it with the hose about 20 min later and it takes a good 98% of them off just like that. I also road trip to the in-laws a few times a year (600miles) and use it to spray the front end down when I get there.

Shine Supply Bug Off, hands down. I detail many many vehicles a week in Texas. Bug Off is my best friend.

Honestly and maybe it sounds stupid, I spray on Sprayaway Glass cleaner on heavy bug splats grill and everywhere else, the foam and what not loosens it very well and I can just wipe them off. I also am not one to leave bug splatters on my truck ( pet peeve, HATE seeing cars/trucks painted with bugs ). $2-3 bucks and I use it on everything and have for years and years now.

I always thought window cleaner stripped the wax off your car.

Idk, I've never had any issues whatsoever with Sprayaway no ammonia glass cleaner, has been amazing for me. I stay stocked up on it. Best window cleaner I have ever used, never attracts dust or lint and helps break up anything that's really stuck on, in this case bugs when I need it. I use it on everything inside as well with a microfiber towel... I hate armor all, the ugly shine as well as attracting dust and dirt like a magnet sends my ocd into overdrive.
