Dupli-Color Shadow Blackout Coating for wheels

Has anyone used this on chrome wheels? I don't like the chrome that came stock on the truck, but don't want the dark black either. I have black for winter rims and, while they do look better than chrome, not really the look I'm going for.

 

The video for this product is about the look I want. But I'm thinking I can't change my mind like I can with Plasti-dip and peel it off in a couple of years.

 

Just wondering if anyone has tried it?

I used this to paint my headlight surrounds. At First where I used it, it looked great. The moment I took it out into the sun, to put back on my truck, I noticed how Purple it looked in certain spots. And ended up just using Dupli-color GM Gloss Black paint to re paint them. Also, this was not my first time painting something, so It wasn't because of first time mistakes.
