Low beams only, no foglights

I tried to use my GoPro for a country road drive last night without considering the camera is about useless in the dark lol. I feel like I may need to adjust the driver side down just a hair, seemed to see several people's eyes reflecting the light when I passed. Didn't get flashed any though, maybe I forgot what's it like to see at night while you drive.

The one above by OP reflects the same lighting I experienced. I didn't take any picture as I planned to use the video for screenshots.

I was running vled lmz bulbs for about 2 years. Had one fail from user error and was back to regular sylvania bulbs the last month while I decided what route to take.

2016 vs 2015 projector assembly:

Cutoff is the first thing I noticed, it's much more defined and crisp than that of the old projector, regardless of what bulb is in it. Color temps were about the same as the vled and actual brightness on road right in front of truck is about the same. Shoulders are ~60-75% more illuminated in the new assembly; that and throw are the biggest gains I noticed. The old projectors lacked illuminating beyond the first 5-7 feet on road and just turned into scattered light. These new ones have a crisp cutoff way on down the road and distance is dramatically increased.

Yea I have a 14 with HID's and they are terrible. My RIGID LED fog light pods greatly over power them. So in your opinion it's worth the upgrade?

PIc of the harness used in Arths truck If anyone would rather have this than repin feel free to PM me.

This will only work with the 14-15 SLT trucks. The SLE's would need an external power source for the DRL.

do you happen to have instructions and a parts list for this?

Definitely worth the upgrade. If you can find the lights used that helps also then sell the 14's and re coop most of the $$

No parts list yet as Im still looking for the old style plugs in bulk.

I find a new set that's reasonable. I'm planning in keeping the 2014 set I think. Put them back in the truck and sell the LED's when I sell the truck...

How much would you want for a pair of adaptors like that?

How was the fit for your wiring on passenger side? I may end up going back in and trying to do some adjustments. Felt like I had to really push to get the airbox back in there with wires bulging somewhat from the cover of the back of the plug assembly.

I would definitely recommend upgrade if you can find them at a good cost as well.

Did you use the GEN5 harness or the one posted above?

Gen5. An aftermarket CAI without a full box would leave ample room. It's not bad, but is a tight fit.
