HUB BEARING ASSEMBLY

Recommended Posts

i have to replace my front hub bearing assembly on my 00 sierra 2WD

on the back of this assembly there is a cover that reads "do not remove"

does anyone know if behind this cover is a splined shaft opening for the 4WD to go into.

if so i can just take the dust cover off the back of mine and put it on a 4WD hub bearing and presto my problem is solved

these things are outrageous , even the junkyard wants 150.00 a pop for'em.

i found a few on ebay for less than 30.00 but they are for a 4WD model hence , the problem

any help would be much appreciated

Thanks

Todd

want to say it was about $300 bucks.

Hummm....My ABS comes on sometimes when I feel it shouldn't really be active (slow, and dry roads) wonder if my other one is going bad? I had them check both...but the drivers "was fine"

Humm?

Mine was bad, I jacked up the tahoe, grabed the wheel at 12:00 and 6:00 and could move it in and out about 1in - 1.5in....lots of play!!!!
