Is there a way to turn the backup camera on manually

Yesterday I had a desire to turn on the backup camera to double check that the hitch was fully secure after hooking up and pulling out. Is this even possible on a 2015?

Sure, stop & put it in reverse. Can't turn it on at any time in drive, park, neutral or manual mode.... just in reverse

I'm sure you could rig it up so you can, but nothing from the factory. Also I would have just gotten out and checked hands on. Plus, if you wasn't sure it was hooked up right then why did you start to pull away anyway? Or did I read it wrong?
