2004 silverado crew cab z71 overheating while idle

Recommended Posts

I didn’t modify anything.

Bought the truck like this, but It’s my fault for not catching it. I’m trying to diagnose, and I think this is the main culprit. Clutch fan seems to operate normally and doesn’t overheat while in cooler temps or driving down the road, so don’t think it’s the thermostat.

Making sure others agree with me before I try to modify the shroud.

Is it worth going with efans if this doesn’t work?
