Denali 6.2 and 8 speed vibration fixed

Couple of months ago I started noticing that my truck would start vibrating between 50 - 70. Driving between 60 - 70 was the worst and I could drop it down into M7 and it would immediately go away. I knew it was not the tires. It would also vibrate and shutter when accelerating moderately during shifts.

Brought it into the dealer for the oil change and went over it with my service adviser. He was not familier with it so he got their transmission guy to come out and we discussed it. He was aware of the issues and tested the torque converter slip. After testing he said mine was very bad and got GM to Ok the replacement. He also said that usually the vibration is at a lower speed. We set the appointment to come back and it took them a day. All I can say is Wow. It's like a new truck with zero vibrations. My truck did not clunk much but it would sometimes when putting it in drive. So far I have had zero clunks and it's been smoother than every.

I had a torque converter lockup issue in my 2000. TOok the shop mgr going for a ride with me on the highway to diagnose. They did a computer reprogram and poof 100% fixed. Glad to hear they fixed your issue!

Man that might be a HOT tip for some of these guys having vibration problems. Is that 700 page vibration thread still open?? Do you know what test they ran at your dealership to diagnose the bad torque converter?
