2016 Silverado LTZ Tail Lights

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone, I was wondering if anyone would happen to know if the new 2016 Silverado tail lights,

would happen to fit on a 2014 Silverado?

Thanks in advance! Hope you all have a good one!

This member did a 2015 - 2016 conversion. I believe the 2014/2015 were the same. So I would say yes? You will either need to get a harness from Gen5DIY or mod the harness yourself since the connectors are different. You will also need to add a resistor to correct hyper flash. The harness from Gen5DIY appears to have the correct connectors and resistor and should be plug n play.

I like these even more than the tails on my '16 GMC. I think both are aesthetically awesome!

I know same here, I wish you could swap the Silverado LTZ/high county tails for the GMC ones but they're different shapes lol [emoji86]

Are they really different shapes? haha

i thought that all of GM's trucks tail lights were the same

Shape looks the same as the silverado in this picture

unless they're very very slightly different

Unfortunately they are slightly different shape and would not fit.

They are vey slightly different the Chevy is angled on top and bottom and the GMC is flat on the bottom. Hard to tell but in person you'll see what I mean

For the silverado you'll need 2 of this 4739ACB3-DF54-4A99-A130-CB775435D884.png

And 2 of this 50w 3ohm resistors

And just repin it.

I believe its the same plug for the sierra tail lights but Im not 100% sure.

Thank you!! Ima get working on it soon
