Silverado fog light housing removal?

Purchased some xb fog lights to replace the practically nonexistent fog lamps on my 15 silverado.

 

I was wondering if anyone installed or removed them. Does the bumper actually have to come off or is there a work around to get them off less annoyingly/painfully?

The bumper doesnt really have to come off. Its just a tight fit getting everything back together. Dont forget the plastic bushings that you have to remove the screws from. Already had to do this removal twice.

I can confirm that I have done the swap without removing the bumper.
